PALVI has supplied new DULE System® automatic equipment to the Almassora Town Council (Ajuntament de Almassora, Castellón), marking the start of a new phase in the collection of selective waste fractions. This decision to implement a modern, fully automatic bilateral collection system represents a significant step forward, providing a safer, more efficient, and environmentally sustainable service for the approximately 29,000 residents of this key city in the Valencian Community.
This contract was awarded through a public tender funded by the European Next Generation EU funds, as part of the “ALMASSORA 2030 - RESIDUS +FUTUR” initiative. The upgrade to cleaner energy vehicles includes the acquisition of 2 new bilateral trucks, fully equipped with the DULE System® on IVECO S-WAY AD260S34Y/PS CNG chassis (340 HP, 6x2 traction, and 27-tonne GVW), powered by Compressed Natural Gas (CNG).
The components of this fully automatic bilateral bodywork are detailed below:
• 2 latest-generation ALPA12-DG robotic manipulators: Designed for collecting containers equipped with the F-90 top hook system, featuring cutting-edge technology.
• 1 CFS-23-DS fixed compactor mounted on the chassis.
• 1 OPTIMA 22S hooklift system: An interchangeable system that allows the operator to select the mobile unit required at any time (compactor, open-top skip for glass, or container washer).
• 1 CMS-23-DS mobile compactor.
• 1 ARCALIS mobile washer, fully integrated into the system.
These mobile units are interchangeable via the aforementioned hooklift system installed on one of the chassis.
The equipment is robust, reliable, and powerful, offering a perfect technical synergy. It simplifies the driver's tasks, as they only need to monitor the process by activating the dead-man control button (pulsador de control de presencia) in the cabin; the robotic manipulator then executes the movements automatically based on data from integrated collection systems.
